Description

• Contains various food sources that facilitate the rapid growth of the beneficial bacteria that helps to reduce the amount of nitrate and phosphate in fresh and saltwater aquariums.
• The bacteria biologically cleans the aquarium water providing a more natural environment for aquarium inhabitants.

How to use:

• It is recommended that 2ml of ReeFlowers Bacteria Feeder is added for every 100 litres of water, once every two days (for average loaded salt, freshwater, planted aquariums).
• Do not exceed 5ml in any one day and for long-term use, no more than 2ml should be used on a daily basis.

Measure the nitrate and phosphate levels in the aquarium once a week through the use of appropriate tests.  Stop using when nitrate levels get below 2 ppm and phosphate gets below 0.02 ppm.

In cases where overdose occurs or otherwise suitable biological conditions emerge, bacteria population may abruptly exceed desired levels, leading to a white turbidity in water. This condition would not harm your species living in the water.

If excessive bacteria growth occurs:

• Stop using the product, until cloudiness completely disappears.
• Protein skimmer should not be turned off as the need for oxygen would increase, it should be turned down as otherwise excessive accumulation could result.
• Cloudiness will disappear approximately in 48 hours.
• After the water is normal again, you can carry on with the application.
• Reduce the dose to half if excessive bacteria growth repeats.
