Flash Plec L204 4-5cm

Flash Pleco’s are a beautiful suckermouth catfish from Peru. These love to be in an aquarium with strong water flow and lots of submerged wood to chew and graze off. The main features are the very striking white to yellow that cover their entire body and fins. As they only grow to 14cm long, they will not outgrow their recommended set ups, making them an excellent choice for most well filtered set ups. Keep them in an aquarium with sand or gravel, lots of wood, some plants and open swimming space. The tank must at least 80cm long with only moderate lighting levels. Can be kept with all peaceful community fish, but as they like their water slightly warmer than most species, they are a very good tank mate for Discus. Also great with most small and medium cichlids, along any other non-aggressive species that like the same water conditions. Whilst they will feed on any algae in the aquarium, also offer some oak-based algae wafers or catfish pellets and for a treat try pieces of cucumber, lettuce, cooked peas, and bloodworms.
