The Green Genie’s big brother, the Aquateck Clear Pond Filter System takes pond filtration one step further. This range of filters is particularly good it you are keeping Koi and other large pond fish.

Supplied ready to install, with an Ultra-Violet Clarifier, fittings, and mechanical, chemical, and biological filter media. The Ultra-Violet Clarifiers include a long lasting lamp and hose connections.

All of this comes with a durable external container, which is shock and UV rays resistant.

Firstly the water passes through an ultra violet clarifier, killing off unsightly green algae cells before getting collected inside the filter media.

The filter media set includes brushes for mechanical filtration, trapping large particles before the water passes through the foams to remove finer particles and finally through some flocor in the biological area (where bacteria has colonised removing ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate) before returning to the pond.

One of the best features of the filter is how easy it is to maintain. A flush-through style system allows water to be pumped in one end and out of a slide valve at the other, removing all the mechanical debris and sludge that has settled in the bottom of the filter. This can be collected in a bucket and disposed of on your garden borders or in your compost bin (makes great plant food!).
