The CO2 diffuses out of the aquarium water into the test container and dissolves in the indicator liquid, Carbo Test Indicator.

Depending on the CO2 content, the indicator reacts with a colour change.

• Blue = not enough CO2.
• Green = CO2 level ideal.
• Yellow = too much CO2.
