Strontium:
- Converts ions into inorganic solutions which promotes skeleton development and growth.
- Strong connective structure allows it to strengthen the skeleton.
- A deficiency of strontium dulls colours and weakens the skeleton.
- Strontium consumption rates are different for each aquarium.
Strontium’s consumption rate is on average equal to 1 percent of the consumption rate of calcium.
After measuring calcium consumption through periodic testing add 0.1g Pure Strontium (1ml Pure Strontium = -14g) per 100L for 30 ppm calcium consumption.
The suggested quantity should be dissolved in fresh water and added to the SUMP.
