Description

NT Aquarium Activated Carbon is the highest grade, pelleted activated carbon available ensuring the absorption of colour taint often caused by the tannins in bogwood, toxins and heavy metals found in some water sources and helps to reduce that “river” type smell that can build up in a mature aquarium. A suitably sized filter media bag is included for ease of use.

NT Labs Aquarium Activated Carbon:

Removes organic molecules to enhance water quality.
Helps to keep the water clear and the aquarium free from unwanted algae.
Removes tannins that are released by bogwood, and driftwood.
It does not affect the biological filter or the pH of the water.
All activated carbons eventually become saturated and release all that they have removed back into the water. For this reason, they need to be replaced regularly (every 6-8 weeks) to avoid this happening.
Can be used to remove residues of treatments from water.
