This floating pellet allows you to readily monitor the feeding habits of your pond fish. This will make it easy to adjust the amount fed and help to reduce the chances of water quality related problems caused by over-feeding. Product Information:
- Recommended for: Koi and is also suitable all other pond fish.
- Food type: floating pellets, Mini 3.5-4mm, Medium 5-5.5mm, Large 8-9mm.
Analytical Constituents:
- (minimum) Crude Protein 34%, Crude fats 3.0%, Crude Fibres 5.0%, Moisture Content 10.0%, Ash 13.0%, Phosphorus 1.0%.
Feeding Guide:
- It is recommended that you feed Hikari Staple twice daily when the water temperature is between 11 and 18°c.
- When the temperature is between 18 and 30°c, feed 2 to 4 times per day.
- It is advisable to stop feeding when the water temperature is over 30°c.
- Feed as much Hikari Staple as your fish can consume within 5 minutes. Excess floating food should then be removed.
Feeding Tips:
It is important to regularly monitor your water temperature and adjust the amount and frequency of your feedings based on this temperature, the water condition, number and size of fish, and their activity level. Avoid over-feeding and always remove any uneaten food remaining after the feeding period.
- Below 11°c Hikari recommend stopping feeding Hikari Staple and switch to Hikari Wheatgerm pellets.
- For a bit of variety or for a treat, try feeding some Betta Choice Shrimp Cocktail.
